Introduction
Hello! I'm got into Stardew Valley only a few months ago, but I fell into the modding rabbit-hole and emerged covered in cheeto dust and a modlist with close to 200 mods. I obviously won't be listing all of them, but I will be listing my favorites!
And note that I will not be listing all the required mods for these, so always always check to make sure you got all the dependencies.
I might be updating this later to add more or add some descriptions to some of them!
Expansions
East Scarp Adds a new area east of town! Has lots of great add-on mods as well, my favorites listed in NPCs :3
Sunberry Village Adds a new village south of town! Pretty early in development but already a full experience - also comes with lots of great add-on mods, listed in NPCs as well!
Ridgeside Village Adds a new village accessible through a cable car ride in the bus stop. Includes LOTS of NPCs, festivals, and quests.
Adventurer's Guild Expanded (Original) ||| 1.6 Update Like the name suggests, it expands the Adventurer's Guild. I haven't yet went through most of the storyline, but so far it's been really fun with expanding the Adventurer's Guild's quests.
NPCS
Jorts and Jean the Helper Cats This mods has a permanent place in my modlist! So much content and lots of cross-compatibility and immersion.

Tristan Requires Mr. Ginger and the Ranch Expansion
Sunberry Add-Ons
Always Raining in the Valley I cannot recommend this mod enough! It has so much content and is very well-written.
Rose and the Alchemist This mod isn't just two new residents in the Sunberry Village - it offers lots of new forageables, fruit, trees, mushrooms, and more.
Farm & Farmhouse
For farm maps, I really love Kisaa's maps!
Kisaa's Wildflower Acres Farm This is my go-to map when I'm not trying something new!
Kisaa's Mystwood Homestead This farm is quite large, and perfect for co-op farms.

Kisaa's Cozy Rustic Greenhouse
Aesthetic Mods
Friendly Statue Changes the chicken statue's appearance to be cuter.
Iridium Recolors Recolors iridium with lots of options!
Simple Foliage Unofficial 1.6 Update
Nyapu's Portraits inspired by Dong HIGHLY recommend this mod if you like this kind of art style. Nyapu has lots of support for other major mods as well in the extra files section of this mod!
Vanilla Tweaks Changes the sprites for a lot of the game assets!
Visual Enemy Variety Adds lots of monster variants! It can be really exciting to spot new variants while deep in the mines.
Cute Animal Scarecrows Well, I'm biased because I made this mod. B-but... I think it's cute?? :3
QoL Mods
Chests Anywhere Inventory management is one of my least favorite aspects of the game, and it feels more fun exploring when I have space to take things.
Livestock Bazaar Really helpful when you add too many mods and now the animal shop menu is difficult to navigate! Even without modded animals, this is really helpful.
Recolors and Reshades
Vibrant Pastoral Redrawn This is my go-to recolor! It has lots of support for other mods as well. It makes the entire game more aesthetically pleasing and less straining on the eyes.
Starblue Valley (Original) ||| Unofficial 1.6 Update This is my other favorite recolor! The changes in the tree colors is really pretty.
Nightshade - In-Game Color Reshader This lets you tweak color values in game to get it to just the way you want it. I like to use it alongside a recolor!
