Category:Content Patcher
Content Patcher is a framework created by Pathoschild that allows you to edit the game's images, data, and maps without needing programming knowledge. Features such as conditions, tokens, and configuration are supported but completely optional. See the mod author documentation for a more in depth guide on creating a content pack for Content Patcher.
Changes to the base game in 1.6 allowed many types of vanilla content, such as farm animals and shops, to be edited with Content Patcher, whereas they previously needed specialized frameworks. Most basic pieces of content, like NPCs, items, maps, crops, farm buildings, furniture, fish, and even complex types such as events and festivals, can now be added with CP alone. As of December 2024, the number of CP mods available on Nexus surpassed 10,000 and now represents roughly half of available mods on Nexus.
